The moon card meaning in tarot

The Moon

This card is somehow connected with the high priestess. It is an expansion of consciousness. The moon is a primary symbol of the goddess, the emotions and the dark side.

The dog and the wolfhowling at the moon symbolize the approaching darkness. The scorpion is the creative force rising up from the death. The moon also signifies our unconscious desire and the fear of losing control and falling into the realms of the unconscious, sleep and dreams.

The dark side of ourselves needs to be looked at and integrated to establish the wholeness. If we can surrender to this side, we will gain deep understanding, wisdom and revelation. Then we can move fully into the light which is following card o the sun.

receiving the moon suggests a good time fo dreams and psychic ability. With more expansion there can be confusion and strong emotions.
