It comprises of the land structure, land form, landscape, flora and fauna.

Water or Jal is considered as second most important element of Vaastu after Earth. However, water is one of the largest elements of nature as over 80 percent of our body and two-third of earth’s surface is filled with water. In Vaastu there is one proper direction for the placement of water sources. This is represented by rain, river, sea and is in the form of liquid, solid (ice) and gas (steam, cloud). It forms part of every plant and animal. If we see our history, all the cultures had developed on the bank of any water bodies, so this shows the influence of the water on our life, since ages. Water is an important element in the sustenance of life of whether man animal or vegetation. Such water availability in the house should be at an appropriate position to give out its best.

After Earth and Water, Fire or Agni is the most important element of Vaastu. Fire is connected with the Sun which is known for its vitality and strength. Sun is the source of natural light and an important source of energy. It represents light and heat without which the life will extinct. All the days and nights, seasons, energy, enthusiasm, passion, vigor is because of light and heat only.

Air or Vayu is an important element of nature, without which all life will come to an end. The element of air is related to our senses of touch and sound. Air comprises various gases on earth which are essential for human life, such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. Vaastu provides proper guidelines for the placements of doors, windows, balconies, ventilation, height of your home structure and placements of trees and plants. In this aspect, air deals with the entire body surface through skin, blood system - through respiration. Air also represents the movement. There is no life without air, even fish in deep ocean breath air, if this element is harnessed, it will be an unasked boon to the residents.

Space or Akash has no limits. This element is related to our sense of hearing. Quantitatively, space is filled with galaxies, stars, Sun, moon, constellations and all the nine planets. Space influences human lives and Vaastu provides proper guidelines for Space and according to it, the house construction should be in such a way that light enters the central area of the house. This Space should be kept vacant in a house and any disturbance in the space can prove to be harmful. Space is the reference element for all creation. Every creation is within this element alone. All the planets Gods and Goddesses, the several stars and their constellations are contained in it.
